Yoshita Handicraft Design Studio is a small design studio located in Koganei City, Tokyo. This is a brand created by Moritaka Yoshida, who was in charge of product design for the kitchen tools and heat-resistant glass bowls of the Sori Yanagi Design Series. ``I want to cherish what I can touch with my hands and feel with my five senses'' and ``I want to realize things and come up with ideas by moving my hands and interacting with tools and materials.'' These ideas led to the name 'handicrafts'. Every detail is adjusted to make the best use of the characteristics of the material, such as how it feels to the touch and how easy it is to hold, and through repeated prototyping, it is sublimated into its final form. The round bar series was born from encountering stainless steel material with an oblong cross section made for the handle of a water jug in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, a mecca for metal processing. Stainless steel material tends to give a cold impression, but its gently curved cross section makes it surprisingly soft to the touch. A stainless steel knife that is easy to grip and fits smoothly in your hand. Although it has a simple design at first glance, the beauty of its form is enough to make you fall in love with it. The blade part has a three-layer structure, with rust-resistant stainless steel on both sides and high-hardness high carbon molybdenum vanadium steel in the center, which is rust-resistant and easy to handle, and maintains a sharp sharpness for a long time.
