Using the Operational Scale system seen in Korea: Fire and Ice, OSS: Vietnam presents the conflict in a playable yet historical way. While attempting to win on the battlefield, players negotiate the minefields of Publix's opinion. The game covers America's involvement in the war (1965 – 1972) and offers options to extend the war in a game that few in this competition have. Americans can invade North Vietnam, Laos, or Cambodia – with the same political risk as the Communists.
