All piston skirts are coated with a high-tech molybdenum disulfate coating for faster break-in time and improved piston life. The cast piston kit is a gravity cast aluminum alloy (not forged) with 18% silicon content, creating a very light yet very strong piston. Forged pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum for superior strength and durability. Forged high compression piston increases power and torque throughout the rpm range. Big Bore pistons increase engine displacement, torque, and horsepower peaks. Forged replica pistons are forged OE replacements. Replica piston and all rings are OEM replacements.
