Completed size: Width 500mm Depth 280mm Height 292mm An unpainted wooden assembly kit made of wood as the main material. Separate tools, paint, etc. are required. Production reference time: Approximately 100 hours. Materials: Wood such as cypress, Chinese cypress, Kamishiro ash, metal (soft metal).
The kit reproduces the castle, centering on the precise castle tower using laser-processed parts, and the stone walls are made of Kamishiro wood, making them easy to assemble and realistically expressed. Construction of Hiroshima Castle was started by Terumoto Mori in 1589 along with the castle town on the delta at the mouth of the Ota River. The large castle tower has a five-story watchtower-like structure, with smaller towers at the east and south ends, and a cross tower between them, making it a continuous tower. Mori Terumoto was defeated in the Battle of Sekigahara and was chased out of Hiroshima, and Masanori Fukushima, who took his place as the lord of the castle, further defended and renovated Hiroshima Castle, but in 1619 the Fukushima clan was destroyed. After that, Nagaaki Asano from Kishu became the castle's lord, and the Asano family continued to serve for 12 generations. After the Meiji period, it came under the jurisdiction of the Army, and although the castle tower and turrets still remained, they were destroyed along with many other buildings in Hiroshima when the atomic bomb was dropped on August 6, 1945. The current castle tower was restored in 1958. *This product is a wooden model that requires assembly. *Adhesive, tools, paint, etc. are required separately for assembly and painting.
