Spark plugs are an important ignition system that triggers the combustion cycle by sparking the air-fuel mixture filling the combustion chamber, but with current off-road motorcycles, manufacturers are limited in their development and installation costs. The commonly known DI "Direct Ignition" system, which is equipped on closed course racers that have maximized engine performance, is installed on Honda's traditional air-cooled RFVC engine to ensure the reliability of the ignition system while improving fuel efficiency and torque. This is a reinforced part aimed at further increasing the power of the engine. With this system, the high-voltage ignition current generated by the integrated ignition coil is transmitted straight to the plug and sparked, thereby addressing the structural problems that were the weaknesses of the genuine coil (i.e., dealing with high engine speeds).
