Triumph model "1/700 World War II Royal Navy Aircraft Carrier Glorious 1940" resin kit. HMS Glorious was built in 1915 as a large cruiser and took part in the Second Battle of Helgoland and Bight in 1917. After the signing of the Washington Naval Treaty in 1922, she was converted into an aircraft carrier. At the beginning of World War II she served on a Mediterranean fleet, and in 1940 she took part in operations in the North Sea. During her withdrawal from Norway in June of the same year, she encountered the German battleships Scharnhorst and Gneisenau and was sunk by naval gunfire. This offshore model full resin kit comes with photo-etched parts, decals, and three types of carrier-based aircraft (Sea Gladiator, Sea Hurricane, and Swordfish x 3).
