There is no setup time and each round plays 5 - 15 minutes. To play, roll the colored dice and stack the rolled colored wooden locks. Knock a stack and lose a round, stack the last lock and win. Includes 24 pencil-erasable cards on which you can write challenges and questions for use during gameplay. Each time a player stacks a lock, they choose a card, read the challenge or question of the same color as the stacked lock, and select another player to perform the challenge or answer the question. Kohatu is a party night game for adults or a simple balance rock game for kids ages 4 and up. Totika Kohatu is a tabletop woodlock version of the Maori stacking game, once determined by those with the most steady hands and nerves of steel. Defeat a stack on your turn and lose a round of play. Win the round by successfully stacking the 16th stone. Stacking 16 stones is almost impossible, but try to believe that it is possible. Please do not give up. Keep practicing and hone your skills.
