A special fall prevention hood is newly manufactured and reproduced on the driver's cab side of the first car. The connecting parts allow it to pass through curved rail C243 with a radius of 243mm. The function adopted in the 281 series Haruka that causes the headlights to shine regardless of the direction of travel when the leading cars are connected is also adopted in the 223 series. The appearance of Kuha 222 and Kumoha 223 with a fall prevention hood on the front of the driver's cab is reproduced with a new production. The fall prevention hood is reproduced with a separate newly manufactured part.
