Our oil filter magnets attract even the smallest particles that can cause wear and bearing damage over time. Before these particles can affect the rest of the engine, they stick to the bottom of the oil filter. Simply transfer the filter magnet to a new filter every oil change and you'll have thousands of miles of protection. Additionally, a filter magnet is installed in the steel oil pan next to the drain plug and removed before starting an oil change to ensure that any trapped engine-damaging metal particles flow through the oil change and the oil change is complete. Please restore it after doing so. This filter magnet is made in the USA and measures 2.5" in diameter and 3/8" thick. The bottom is flat (if your oil filter isn't completely flat, just put foam tape on both sides to prevent the filter magnet from swinging into the filter). Weighing just under 6 ounces, you can rely on our products to be strong. Each filter magnet is housed in a chrome-plated case. The filter magnet is a ceramic type magnet with a full pull test rating of 65 lbs.
