Approximately 25 ounces. That's about twice as much as regular jeans. The thread was too thick to pass through a regular loom, so I modified an old shuttle loom to make it. Although the old shuttle loom is not very productive, the fabric is woven slowly and contains a lot of air, making it light and strong despite its apparent thickness. In addition to the handle, a handle attached to only one side of the bag was used at the time to make it easier to carry heavy items. This is one of the details that remains from the days when ice was transported. THE Tote Bag has redesigned the length and balance of this handle to standardize it, making it possible to attach it perfectly to the handle of a suitcase. S, M, L, any size can be carried along with suitcases. The fabric is manufactured by Niimi Co., Ltd. in Chita District, Aichi Prefecture. Founded in 1920, this is a weaving factory that mainly produces fabrics made from natural fibers. Because the fabric is thick and hard, each piece is hand-finished by experienced craftsmen using a special high-powered sewing machine.
