The first-generation S30 model set an astonishing record for a sports car, selling over 520,000 units globally in the nine years from 1969 to 1978. Due to its reasonable price, high performance, and attractive style, it became very popular especially in North America where it was called the Z-Car. Among the first-generation S30 models, the 240ZG was the top-of-the-line model exclusive to Japan that was added in November 1971. Equipped with a bumper-integrated Aerodyna nose, front and rear over fenders, and headlamp covers as standard equipment, the 2.4-liter engine provides high driving performance.
