Tacom "1/35 US Army M247 Sergeant York Anti-Aircraft Tank" plastic model. The M247 Sergeant York is a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun that was developed in the United States in the late 1970s as a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun to replace the M163 self-propelled anti-aircraft gun. After witnessing the success of the Soviet Union's ZSU-23-4 Shilka in the Yom Kippur War in 1973, the U.S. Army began research on a new anti-aircraft tank under the name "DIVAD" (Division Air Defense) in 1977. It was started. In response to the U.S. Army's request, several companies, including Ford Aerospace, submitted a basic proposal for a DIVAD using an M48A3 tank in the body, and the U.S. Army eventually agreed to a prototype vehicle with General Dynamics and Ford Aerospace. We have signed a production contract. After testing of both companies' prototype vehicles, the U.S. Army adopted Ford Aerospace's prototype vehicle with the official designation M247, and gave it the nickname "Sergeant York." After that, the M247 continued to be tested, but in the 1990s, when the necessity of anti-aircraft tanks itself was questioned within the U.S. Army, despite nearly 50 M247s being completed. It never reached the point where it was deployed. The main hatch can be opened or closed. The suspension and wheels are movable, and the tracks are movable. Photo-etched parts and 5 types of markings are included. *This product is a plastic model that requires assembly and painting. *Adhesive, tools, paint, etc. are required separately for assembly and painting. *"Plastic model" is a registered trademark owned by the Japan Plastic Model Industry Cooperative. *This product does not include adhesives, paint, tools, batteries, etc. Safety warning Not applicable
