K 67 Style Capsule: The K 67 capsule on the Stellar X3 is carefully hand tuned. It offers better off-axis coloration and a smoother mid-range response than most K 67 style capsules. Unique Capsule Design: The capsule is made of 3 micron Mylar as opposed to traditional 6 micron for added sensitivity improving signal to noise ratio. Our gold sputtering process allows the gold to be consistently and evenly distributed on the Mylar. High Pass Filter: Turn on the high pass to reduce the proximity effect when speaking into the microphone. Also reduces background noise such as murmur. -10 dB Pad: This switch increases the headroom of the microphone. Engage this switch if you need to record a loud source without fear of clipping. New Shockmount Design: The Stellar X3 features a brand new shockmount that is more reliable and because of its springless design, it won't resonate with your recording. This new shockmount can also reduce vibration more effectively.
