Instead of accepting the idea that cotton fabric is the best filtration material, we researched other options until we developed a superior filtration membrane made from polyester. Their work is so innovative that they patent their technology and do nothing that no other filter company has done. Advantages of Sprint Filter Air Filter: The polyester thread is only 5 microns thicker, tighter weave, and does a better job of cleaning the air. When tested against other brands that use Cotton Elements, Sprint Filters consistently remove 93% of 100 micron particles, with the cotton filter average around 76%. The filter's pleats are higher and closer together, providing much more surface area for air to pass through. When tested with cotton-based filters, Sprint filters pass 25% more air capacity. The wider filter surface provides consistent airflow throughout the bike's RPM range and provides superior airflow even when it gets dirty. Cleaning is quick and easy with an air hose or can of compressed air, as there is no need to apply oils or oils such as cotton or foam filters.
