Comes with quick connectors (4 wire taps). No need to cut wires, no soldering required. All connections can be made either under the fuel tank, in the ECU box, or behind the instrument cluster. The table below provides an overview of the connections. Connect to the G-Ship Wire Red +12V Switched Power Lead Black Ground Wire or Chassis Ground White Speed Signal Tap anywhere between the speed sensor and the instrument cluster. On some ABS models, tap the speed signal anywhere between the ABS computer and his ECU box. Tap the green tacho signal anywhere between the ECU box and the instrument cluster. Or tap the signal wire from the 2-wire system. Crankshaft sensor (pickup coil), anywhere between the sensor and his ECU box. Due to the large number of bicycle models and vehicles this kit is compatible with, model-specific wire colors and installation instructions are not covered in this document. 1. The ignition key must be in the off position. Remove the seat and lift and support the fuel tank 2. Locate the speed sensor coupler. A. Most motorcycles have a speed sensor installed in the gearbox. Some have sensors mounted on the front or rear wheels. B. Follow the cable until you find the speed sensor coupler. It is a 3-pole connector. Check: Separate the speed sensor coupler. Leave the ignition on and rotate the wheels. The speedometer should read 0. If so, turn off the ignition, reconnect the coupler and proceed to the next step. Otherwise, if the speedometer registers a non-zero speed, you did not disconnect the correct coupler and should look again.
