The connector is usually accessible by removing the fairing. On most models, the connector is located next to the engine. - You need to setup the module after installation. When the ignition is turned on, the display will count backwards (from 6 to 1) to indicate that the memory has been cleared.・Use the stand to raise the rear wheels and start the engine in neutral. (If you don't have a stand, you can set up the unit while driving. Find a long, straight road with little traffic.) - "1" will flash on the display. Select first gear, release the clutch, and keep the RPMs above idle speed. The display will flash faster while the unit is learning the gears. -When "2" appears on the display, select 2nd speed. Repeat this process until all gears (5 or 6) have been considered. The unit is programmed and must indicate gear correctly. Now, when the ignition is turned on, the display will count forward (1 to 6) to indicate full functionality.
