Select first gear, release the clutch, and keep the RPMs above idle speed. The display will flash faster while the unit is learning the gears. -When "2" appears on the display, select 2nd speed. Repeat this process until all gears (5 or 6) have been considered. The unit is programmed and must indicate gear correctly. Now, when the ignition is turned on, the display will count forward (1 to 6) to indicate full functionality.
