All you need to do is set the gear indicator so that the shift programs the correct gear. When I received it, the wire prongs were not plugged into the ECUs outlet adapter. It is more convenient to hang the wire and fix it. Just plug it into the ECUS socket adapter, then into the safety port on your bike, and you're good to go. Instructions for use: Once you receive the gear position indicator, connect the cable to the right port according to our product page, plug in the bike's secuplug, turn on the bike (ignition), it will start from 6-1 and " L " will flash. L stands for learning. When the "L" flashes, don't wait any longer, fire up the bike and ride at various speeds to set the gear indicator. Show correct gear. After setup, it will work on your bike.
