The speed sensor is typically mounted on the front sprocket cover, with a 3-pole black speed sensor coupler (see illustration) located 20-40 cm (8"-16") from the sensor. Lift the fuel tank and remove the seat or side fairing to access the connector (see illustration). Verification: 1. Separate the speed sensor connector (you may need to use a small flat head screwdriver to separate the connector). 2. After separating the speed sensor connector, plug in both male and female his 3-pole GFYSHIP harness connector. Make sure the connector is fully seated. 3. Locate the wire coming out of the signal generator (pickup coil/CKP sensor). If in doubt, check your bike's service manual or contact your dealer. 4. Using the supplied red wire tap connector, connect the green wire to this wire (the green wire is connected to the crankshaft sensor signal wire).
