Features: Color: Black Light Color: Red/Blue/Green 1-6 Gear Display Fitment: Instruction Guide for Kawasaki Ninja ZX9R 1998-2003: 1. Remove the seat and lift the fuel tank. 2. Locate the speed sensor coupler. The speed sensor is mounted on the front sprocket cover and a 3-pole black speed sensor coupler is located 20-40 cm (8"-16") from the sensor. The connector is accessible under the fuel tank (W650: behind the left side cover). Verify: Separate the speed sensor coupler (you may need to use a small flathead screwdriver to separate the coupler). Rotate the wheels with the ignition on. The speedometer should read 0. If so, turn off the ignition and proceed to the next step. Otherwise, if the speedometer registers a non-zero speed, you did not disconnect the correct coupler and should look again. 3. After separating the speed sensor coupler, plug in both the male and female 3-prong GFYSHIP harness connectors. Make sure the connector is fully seated. 4. Locate the RPM signal wire. ZX-6R, ZZR600: Tachometer wire light blue (solid light blue wire) on dashboard connector or ECU connector ZX-9R: Pickup coil (crankshaft sensor) connector under fuel tank 3-pole, white triangular connector yellow (solid yellow line) W650: Pickup coil (crankshaft sensor) 4-pole connector behind left side cover Black/White (solid black line with thin white stripe) 5. Peel off the black sleeve (tape). Leave approximately 3 cm (1.2 inches) of this wire exposed. 6. Connect the GFYSHIP black/green wire to this wire using the supplied red wire tap connector.
