This module must be set up after installation. Perform setup only when the engine is warm and idle speed is normal. Find a long, straight road with little traffic. The unit never learns the same gear twice, making it easy to set up. You can also downshift and stop during setup if you wish. Don't stare at the display and always drive with your eyes on the road! Turn on the ignition. The display will count backwards (from 6 to 1) to indicate that the memory is clear. When "L" flashes, put the engine in neutral and let it idle. When the display flashes "1", select 2nd speed. Release the clutch and watch normal riding. The display will flash faster while the unit is learning the gears. When the display shows "n" (next), select 2nd gear. Repeat this process until all gears have been considered.
