Configuration: You need to setup the module after installation. When the ignition is turned on, the display will count backwards (from 6 to 1) to indicate that the memory has been cleared. - Use the stand to raise the rear wheel off the ground and start the engine in neutral. (If you don't have a stand, you can set up the unit while driving. Find a long, straight road with little traffic.) - The display will flash "1". Select 1st gear, release the clutch, and maintain RPM above idle speed. The display will flash faster while the unit is learning the gears. - Select 2nd speed when "2" appears on the display. Repeat this process until all gears (5 or 6) have been considered. The unit is programmed and must indicate gear correctly.
