The original PP05 cable set, developed by SilverStone in 2008, was a breakthrough product for small form factor computing enthusiasts. Besides shorter types with smaller cases like its predecessor PP03 (manufactured in 2005), it introduced the idea of cable sets that users could utilize for a variety of upgrades. To improve compatibility and installation convenience, PP05-E is constructed with cables that have greater flexibility, allowing for sharper bends than traditional cables. This eliminates component interference issues that are common in small form factor configurations. To save even more valuable space, the PP05-E's cables feature a flat array design that provides unprecedented flexibility. As before, the PP05-E is manufactured to fit into SilverStone's modular PSUs, helping enthusiasts use as few cables as possible (dual PCI-E connector cables) or the more popular slim optics. Convenient expansion cables and connectors are added to connect drives (mini-SATA).
