Seto ware is a general term for ceramics produced in and around Seto City, Aichi Prefecture. Ceramics representing Japan have a history and tradition that goes back over a thousand years. Along with Tokoname, Shigaraki, Echizen, Tanba, and Bizen, it is also known as the production area for six ancient kilns. Kiseto (Kiseto) is an iron glaze that was created during the Momoyama period. Produces an elegant warm yellow color. Because the style varies greatly depending on the conditions of the kiln and flame, each piece has a different texture. Perfect for home use, as well as for entertaining or as a gift.
