The maps of Russia and Japan in this expansion can only be played on Power Grid (recharged version) or a copy of Power Grid. The rules for Power Grid (rechargeable version) remain the same, except for the following changes and special features for the two maps included in this expansion: Introduction to Russia The market for power plants is limited in Russia. Additionally, the standard rules for replacing aging power plants have changed, forcing top players to completely rethink their strategies. Preparation Remove powerplants "6" and "14" from the game, shuffle the remaining powerplants with their back plugs, and place them on top of the powerplant stack. Randomly remove 6 power plants for 2 players, 8 power plants for 3 players, and 4 power plants for 4 players from the remaining power plants. Place the top 6 power plants in the power plant market. Fill in the following spaces in the resource market: Charcoal - spaces 3-8, Oil spaces 1-8, Uranium - spaces 6-16. On the map, the cheapest starting space for each resource shows this symbol. There is no trash in the resource market at the start of the game. Depending on the number of players, place a Russia-specific resource refill card on the game board.
