Even if your computer does not have an RS-232C port, you can use RS-232C devices by simply connecting this product to a USB port. Barcode scanners, magnetic card readers, modems, RF-ID tag readers, power supplies, etc. can be connected.
●The lack of RS-232C ports that occurs when embedded in POS systems can be solved with USB. It operates on USB bus power, so no external power source such as an AC adapter is required. The connector uses D-Sub 9 pin (male). If you use a separately commercially available conversion connector, you can also connect D-Sub 25-pin devices.
● Widely used as a connection interface for measurement control equipment such as electronic balances and sequencers.
● Original serial communication driver supports maximum DTE communication speed of 230K. The included original driver virtually recognizes it as a COM (RS-232C) port. It does not occupy the computer's IRQ resources and is assigned to a free COM port as a virtual COM port. Also, the COM port number can be changed from the device manager.
●Since it is recognized as a virtual COM port, you can use COM port applications provided by RS-232C device manufacturers as is. A communication sample program for VC/VB that supports application development is available for download on our website. This sample program can be used with all Ratoc System RS-232C interfaces.
●The power source uses bus power from the USB port. If 5V is being supplied normally from the USB bus, the POWER LED will light up.
●In addition to the POWER LED, the main body is equipped with transmitting and receiving LEDs. Easily monitor data flow. Compatible with both Windows and MacOS platforms. You can also connect RS-232C devices to Windows servers equipped with a USB port.
