The OsakaMetro 10 series was introduced in October 1973 as the 20 series (first generation) as a prototype vehicle for the Tanimachi Line. In 1975, the car was changed to the 10 series and introduced on the Midosuji Line. After undergoing various tests, it began operations in 1976, and a total of 226 mass-produced cars were produced between 1978 and 1989. As of the morning of July 4, 2022, the 10 series that continued to run in Osaka will be retired. By using the separately sold power unit and N scale running parts, it can be run as an N scale railway model. TM-12R is recommended for power, and TT-04R is recommended for running parts.
