The Kobe Electric Railway 1000 series is Kobe Electric Railway's representative vehicle, including the 1000 series manufactured from 1965. Among these, the De 1070 type is the first three-door car in the 1000 series, of which six cars were manufactured from 1974 to 1976 for additional operation on the Ao Line. In later years, due to the increase in the number of additional trains, it was fixed to two cars with the De 1050 type and other types of the 1000 series, and some cars were equipped with air conditioning.
