In 1972, newlywed Peter and Leena Dunn accept a mission to open a girls' home in New York. I started doing some small woodwork to keep the girls occupied. The girls' plaques and gifts quickly became popular at the Greenwich Village outdoor market. When the New York mission was completed, the couple acquired woodworking equipment on a farm in Dalton, Ohio. P. Graham Dunn is a family-owned business that opened its doors in 1976. Initially, the work is labor intensive. LeAnna and Peter were busy raising four active children and had started working at Chicken Coop. For 20 years, Peter has designed all plaques, gifts and furniture items, while LeAnna has managed the company's finances. Over time, we began to computerize our carving and laser operations and found that we could successfully compete with offshore manufacturers. Today, P. Graham Dunn serves reminders for over 4,000 accounts, most of the United States, Canada and around the world.
