Size (approx.): (box size) 33.3 x 33.3 x 6.5 cm (inner diameter 27 cm) Material: Iron Country of manufacture: Japan Nanbu Tekki pots are thick, so they have excellent heat retention and even heat distribution. This means there is less unevenness in the temperature during cooking, allowing you to cook better. The temperature at which iron melts due to heat is called the melting point, and the melting point of iron is over 1000℃. Therefore, it can withstand careless dry firing, is extremely durable, and can be used for a lifetime as long as you are careful not to rust.
The history of Mizusawa Nanbu Ironware dates back 850 years, when the Hiraizumi culture was flourishing. It is said that this tool was created by Fujiwara Kiyohira, who had a caster invited from Kyoto make Buddhist utensils. OISEI continues to propose this traditional technique not only as tableware, but also as original items for new generation lifestyles. You can hear the birth cries of the "irons" coming from the crimson-blazing cupola. It was born gently wrapped in a mold based on a new concept. It is then painted and given anti-rust treatment before it is ready for its journey. The workshop is located next to the cupola, where each piece is painstakingly hand-finished one by one.We create warm, original items using leftover cast iron as a material. This workshop is like a ``sunshine in the heart.'' For example, an old chair that is passed down from generation to generation. Small items in daily life that are driven by such images. The warmth of products made from natural materials makes them feel like part of the family. OISEI would like to convey this feeling through new product development and proposals.
