Did you know that after the festival, the original stage wood was sold as "scrap"? They were desperately trying to recoup their costs and the cultural significance of the festival was still unknown. Someone down the road bought the wood from "Bethel the other day" and asked his daughter's boyfriend to help build a paddleball court for the bungalow community. Our founder, Steve, was 15 years old at the time. We're happy to help. 48 years later, Steve realized that the legend might still be there. When he returned, it was standing there, still in great condition even when worn. Crazy how legendary history could have been lost...Made from the same collection that was donated and exhibited at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Bethel Woods Museum, and Grammy Museum.
