A set of two, a Katakuchi-sized (tin) cup and a sake cup (tin/gold leaf) made of 100% genuine tin made in Takaoka, a production area for crafts. It is said that drinking alcohol in a tin sake cup makes the taste mellower and more delicious. Since 100% tin is soft, you can bend it by applying a lot of force, so you can enjoy the shape of the vessel you like. It also has the property of absorbing impurities, making water etc. less likely to spoil. Manufactured by Nousaku, a foundry manufacturer in Takaoka, it is cast using an old-fashioned method called green casting, and most of the process is done by hand.
