This knife is manufactured and finished by knife craftsmen in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, one of the three major production areas for cutlery, using Hitachi Yasugi Steel Blue Paper No. 2 (HRC62) developed by Hitachi Metals, Ltd., which is the katana.
