Micromill "1/48 U.S. Navy Bendix Model J (AMP brand)" plastic model. Model J is a counter-rotating rotor helicopter developed by Bendix Aviation for the US Navy and first flew in 1946. The contra-rotating rotor of this machine is a counter-rotating propeller-like version of the main rotor of a single-shaft helicopter, and has the advantage of being able to offset the counter torque of each rotor. The Model J was equipped with a 450hp R985 Wasp Junior engine and could fly at a maximum speed of 177km/h with a crew of four, but the project was terminated without an order from the Navy. Includes photo-etched parts, painted mask stickers, 3D decal instrument panel, and one type of decal.
