While most of the tournaments of knights hosted by Arthur are known, only a small portion of the knowledge of the Merlin Beast Hunt Tournament is known. Played in remote Ireland, magicians use magical seeds and their sorceries to create fences of natural elements that enclose and capture various beasts. As one of the competing spells, players use 80 custom dice as seeds and hold translucent cards representing bamboo, lightning, thorns, and water. They use these fences to capture magical wild beasts (chimera, unicorn, basilisk, and centaur). The winner of the tournament is the magician with the most points to capture wild beasts and build fences. The magician will be the magical champion.
