The Army Expert Weapons Qualification Badge is awarded to qualified Army personnel who have demonstrated expertise in the operation of Army weapons. An additional qualification bar is suspended from the Expert Weapons Qualification Badge to indicate expertise in operating a specific weapon. This badge may be awarded to Army, Army Reserve, and National Guard personnel who have met the qualifications. This badge is 100% USA made and has a mirror finish, but is also available in an oxidized silver finish. The badge design includes a cross putty with a target superimposed in the center, all surrounded by a laurel wreath with a knot at the bottom. The badge also incorporates two small rings for attaching the qualification bar.
