This densely woven fabric is lightweight, flexible and does not affect tire performance. Choose EXO protection for enhanced durability for gravel, cross-country and light-duty trail riding. TR (Tubeless Ready): Tubeless tires have many benefits for riders, such as lower air pressure, which improves traction, lower rolling resistance than tube tires, and no tubes, making them less prone to punctures. Tubeless ready tires are designated by the letters "TR" on the sidewall. Tubeless tires must be mounted on tubeless-compatible rims and require the use of a liquid sealant to maintain air pressure. Liquid sealants are effective at sealing small punctures. Sealants dry out over time, so check them regularly and replace them if necessary.
The Rekon Race EXO/TR Tire 29" is a semi-slick XC race tire designed to accentuate hardpack terrain. Tape on the effective Rekon trail tire design, but with smaller, shorter knobs and roll faster than the trail version. It can also be used as a rear tire for more aggressive front and running. It is also possible to set the speed for short track races. The Rekon Race features a 120tpi casing to comply with trail obstacles for smooth damping and is combined with Maxxis dual compound rubber for high grip and long wear life. EXO sidewall protection resists slices from jig locks and provides the distinctive Maxxis perforated protection that makes the brand so successful in the MTB world.
