It's a truly unique yarn. First up are the thick and thin singles, made from super-soft superwashed merino wool and criss-crossed with binder threads (black or white). The yarn is then dyed in one of our proprietary kettle-dyed colors and: poof! Inspired by a specific style of hand-spun yarn, unlike any yarn we've made before. Caracol is woven into a cozy, fluffy fabric that provides texture and visual interest. Simple stitch patterns really sing! Uses: warm winter accessories, large cozy afghans, boring stockinette. Each bag has a different dye lot and each bag may have different skins. One bone is different from another, even within the same bag. Weight: Super bulky. Texture: ply, thick and thin thread. Yards/meters: 90 yards (87 meters) Skin weight: 150g (5.29oz). Gauge: 9 levels = 4 inches. Recommended needle size: US 13 - 19 or 9 - 15mm. Recommended hook size: US N/P/15~P/Q or 10~15mm.
