The 63-layer Damascus steel blade is made of 63-layer Damascus steel with molybdenum and vanadium steel sandwiched between stainless steel. It is characterized by a beautiful wood grain pattern. To make resharpening easier, the base of the blade is sharpened by a professional blade maker using a water whetstone, using coarse and medium whetstones, before attaching the blade. It is hygienic because the mouth and handle are completely sealed. The handle is made of wood micarta, which has excellent water resistance and corrosion resistance.
