JLT Oil Separator 3.0 Passenger Side (2018 Mustang GT) Do I need an oil separator if I don't have a supercharger? absolutely! Naturally aspirated cars circulate vapor through the system and are oil-based. Compatible models: 2018-2019 Mustang GT passenger side 2019 Mustang Bullitt passenger side does not fit the supercharger (Please check the kit for Whipple (3030P) or purchase the base kit and assemble it yourself ) JLT 3.0 Oil Separator 3oz Capacity Solid Billet Construction. OEM style quick connect PCV fitting. Multi-stage filter system. It collects the finest vapor and drops it into an easily removable bottom while allowing clean air to pass through the intake. How does it work? During the process of diluting your gas, your intake track, large amounts of oil, steam, intake pipe, intake manifold runners, and even lower octane levels. This happens with all engines and is even worse in forced induction vehicles (supercharged and turbocharged) when crankcase pressure increases. To combat this, we have developed a unique design of oil separator. Milled from solid billet aluminum, this item is solid. The knurled tank base makes it easy to drain used oil and has an O-ring seal to prevent leaks. The filter consists of a fine mesh stainless steel screen that traps fine oil vapors and releases them once they have enough weight to fall. It then passes through a 1/2-inch thick 1/16-inch aluminum honeycomb filter, where it grows and falls to the bottom. By the time the oil passes through the filter, it is too heavy to pass through the intake. The tank holds 3 ounces of fluid and may not make much noise, but you should see a lot of oil in the PCV system. Drain every 2000-3000 miles and never get close to filling. Why choose JLT?
