In the early 1980s, Brian Eno invented the "Shimmer" effect, popularized by U2's Unforgettable Fire (1984). The effect was a mix of ambient reverb and an octave effect in the reverb decay. The 3 Series Octave Reverb is JHS' take on this classic effect that has been used for decades, allowing you to create pads and textures with your guitar and fill the ambient space. Flip the toggle switch to the up position for an upper octave sound, or to the down position for a low octave sound.
