House of Chess is a 12" x 12" Magnetic Folding Travel Chess Set. It is one of our most popular products and an ideal gift for any chess lover. Inlaid Chess Boards are manufactured with a special inlay process. This chess set includes 2 extra knights, 2 extra pawns, and 2 extra queens. All 4 sides of the chess board have algebraic notation. High power magnets are inserted into each chess piece and the magnetic power is threaded through the wooden board to hold the chess pieces securely and never fall off while traveling or playing. The strong magnetic power ensures that the chess pieces will not fall off even if you hold the box upside down. The chess board/box has double hinges on the back and clasps on the front that hold the top and bottom of the chess box securely. The complete chess board/box & chess pieces have 3 coats of satin finish catalytic lacquer to protect against spills and general wear. The unit is handcrafted from wood. The chess pieces are hand carved with Staunton designs. The bottom of the chess pieces is lined with a thin green soft velvet felt. All chess pieces fit into special inserts made to fit the shape of the chess pieces. The inserts are made of EP foam to protect the pieces. The travel chess set is packed in a velvet case for extra protection and safety of the chess board. Designed and manufactured by Pleasant Times Industries.
