Hasami ware is a type of ceramics fired in Hasami Town, Higashisonogi District, Nagasaki Prefecture. In the Edo period, it was called Imari ware, and in the Meiji era, it was also called Arita ware, based on the location where it was shipped. Hasami-cho, Nagasaki Prefecture, is adjacent to Arita-cho, Saga Prefecture, and Hasami-yaki, like Arita-yaki, has a tradition of over 400 years. An excellent product that allows you to easily make troublesome steamed dishes such as steamed vegetables and shumai. It has a window so you can check the steaming status without opening the lid.
