"Tsurushi Hina" is a custom that has been passed down since the Edo period as a custom of hanging dolls next to Hina dolls during the Hinamatsuri on March 3rd. It is an ancient Japanese traditional culture in which grandmothers and mothers pray for the happiness and growth of their children and sew them stitch by stitch. Each doll has its own story and is made from spring fabric scraps and crepe material, and goes through the process of selecting a pattern that suits the Japanese climate in each season, cutting the mold, and sewing it up. The more parts there are, the more complicated the pattern types, cutting the molds, and the effort required, but the result is a gorgeous "hanging decoration" made with love. Dolls, vegetables and fruits, animals, flowers, and temari balls, this is prosperity of descendants. Plants and animals are meant to take care of other animals, plants are meant to ensure food is not scarce, and temari represent family happiness, the circle of people, and the circle of life. *Since the hanging decorations are handmade one by one by artisans, the pattern may differ from the image.
