UltraCote's unique shrink and stretch capabilities allow it to fit tight curves and wingtips better than other covers. Temperature ranges are as follows: Adhesion to wood begins at 200°F to 220°F. Shrinkage begins at 300°F. Maximum shrinkage is at 350°F. More Information: Surface Preparation: A cover job is only as good as the surface it is applied to. In order for the cover to properly adhere to the surface, the surface must first be smooth and clean. Sand the model using a sanding block and progressively finer sandpaper, with a final sanding done with 320 grit paper. Be sure to vacuum all dust as dust specks under the cover will leave an unsightly impact. Fill any gaps or dents with a quality filler. If using a light colored UltraCote (such as white or yellow), use a tan colored filler that matches the color of the wood to prevent the filler from showing through.
