Rigid Tennis String A new type of string that is neither poly nor nylon, combining the durability of poly and the hold of nylon. Successfully commercialized CX, an aramid-based super fiber with excellent heat resistance. CX stands for Caloric Xtra super heat resistant. While ordinary nylon and polyester gut melt at temperatures between 210 and 250°C, CX can withstand temperatures up to 430°C. By wrapping four CX fibers around the mono-multifilament, it has an ultra-durable sea-island structure that resists the heat of friction with the ball. AK PRO CX thin gauge (1.24mm).
