In 1993, the Ruhla GARDE chess clock was the last non-digital clock used in the World Championships, during the match between Garry Kasparov of Russia and Nigel Short of the UK. GARDE Classic clocks are designed in Germany. They feature precision German clockwork and are manufactured in China. Designed for serious home play or tournament matches, this clock features a cedar wood case with brass hardware and a large 7cm dial.
