Alfons Mucha (1860-1939) was a Moravian painter of the 19th and early 20th centuries. He played a significant role in the arts nouvean movement. He created numerous paintings, illustrations, advertisements, postcards, and inspired many great artists in design of his time. Alfons Mucha was born in the town of Ivancice, Moravia. He was a good singer but was most admired for his decorative painting jobs and paint of Moravian theatrical landscapes. His employer Count Karl Khuen Mikulov was much inspired by Mucha and was prepared to sponsor his formal training at the Municipal Accademia Gallery. He went to Paris for his further studies where he also worked as a magazine and advertising artist. Alfons Mucha was married to Marie Maruska/Maria Chytilova in Prague on June 1906. Muncha dedicated his life to creating art masterpieces, people who epicly invested themselves in it. He illustrated a huge painting that he gave to the Czech and Slavic public in 1928, which he donated to the city of Prague. However, Alfons Mucha's works have not been stamped out of date and his works can now provide inspiration for illustrators and artists after his death.
