Installation Instructions 1. Place a drain pan under the oil filter and loosen the oil filter. 2.Clean the mounting base and make sure the old filter's O-ring is not stuck to the filter mount. 3. Apply a film of clean oil to the gasket. Do not use grease. 4. Screw on the new filter until the gasket reaches the base contact. Then tighten. 5. Check your owner's manual for correct oil specifications, viscosity, and amounts. 6. Add oil to the “full” part of the dipstick. Let the engine idle for 5 minutes and check for leaks. 7. Stop the engine and recheck the oil level after 5 minutes, top off if necessary.
