Drawings "1/72 Savoia Marchetti S.55 Recording Machine" plastic model. The S.55 is a twin-hulled flying boat developed by Savoia Marchetti in Italy and first flown in 1924. Although it was originally developed as a military aircraft, it was also produced for civilian use and operated on Mediterranean routes until 1932. It has a unique layout in which passengers and cargo are stored in a twin-hulled hull, and the cockpit is placed within the thick main wing between the hulls. The twin engines used a push-pull system, with engine racks mounted above the main wings and placed front and rear. The tail was supported by two trusses extending from the hull, and had two vertical stabilizers and a rudder between them. Photo-etched parts and 4 types of "recorder" decals are included. Included decals: Santa Maria 1 and 2, used by famous Italian pilot Francesco de Pinedo to cross the Pacific Ocean; Jaú, used by famous Brazilian pilot João Ribeiro de Barros to cross the Pacific Ocean; Pacific Ocean The Alzione (which later became the Jau) attempted the crossing. *This product is a plastic model that requires assembly and painting. *Adhesive, tools, paint, etc. are required separately for assembly and painting. *"Plastic model" is a registered trademark owned by the Japan Plastic Model Industry Cooperative.
